2026 Regional Competition & Convention - Check-in, Briefing, Inspection, Stage Walk-ons

CHECK-IN, INSPECTION, BRIEFING, AND STAGE WALK-ON INFORMATION
Schedule:
- Thursday, March 26, 2026:
- 6:00-7:00 PM EDT: Chorus & Quartet Check-in
- 7:00 PM EDT: Official Inspection, immediately followed by Chorus & Quartet Briefings
- after the Quartet Briefing: Quartet Stage Walk-ons
- Friday, March 27, 2026:
- after the Quartet Competition: Chorus Stage Walk-ons
Chorus Check-in Information:
- Bring photography order and payment.
- Presidents/Team Coordinators must bring two completed copies of the List of Competing Members form, including the first page that has the total number of competing members. This must be signed by the director(s) and the president/team coordinator.
- Remember to include the SAI member number for each person on the List of Competing Members.
- Changes to this list after the chorus briefing only need to be reported to the Competition Coordinator if a change in the total number of competing members moves the chorus to a different division.
- Division A: 12-25 members plus the director
- Division AA: 26-50 members plus the director
- Large Chorus: 51 or more members plus the director
- Be prepared to share chorus contact.
- Bring a copy of the Song Information Sheet (Song list)
- Bring the Open Division Cue Sheet, if applicable – reminder we do not have alternative lighting
Quartet Check-in Information:
- Bring photography order and payment.
- Be prepared to share quartet contact.
- Bring a copy of the Song Information Sheet (Song List).

Official Inspection Information:
We request all quartet members and chorus leadership to be the ‘chorus’ members for the official inspection. The inspection will begin with the large chorus, then mid-size, then small. After the chorus sound and light check is complete, the stage crew will reset the stage for the quartet competition, and the quartet mic testing will begin.
The quartet and chorus briefings will immediately follow the completion of the official inspection.
Quartet Briefing Information:
All competing quartets must have a representative present at the quartet briefing. All Quartet forms and information will have already been submitted at check-in.
Chorus Briefing Information:
All competing directors and presidents/team coordinators are expected to attend; at minimum a responsible representative of the chorus must attend the briefing. The Chorus AETs will have been picked up at check-in.
Stage Walk-on Information:
At the end of the quartet briefing, quartets will have the opportunity to walk on the stage in order of appearance. Quartets may start a song, take a bow, start their second song, take a bow and leave the stage.
On Friday, March 27, 2026, after the quartet competition, choruses will have the opportunity to walk on the stage in order of appearance. Choruses may be positioned on the risers, start a song and then exit the stage. Choruses will have 5 minutes on stage.
