2026 Regional Competition & Convention - Pattern Information

Quartet Pattern:
- The Quartet Pattern will start on the 2nd floor of the Northern Kentucky Convention Center outside the designated warm-up room.
- Quartets move through the pattern in the following manner:
- Move to the photo room.
- Move to the warm-up room.
- Each quartet will have 10 minutes in the warm-up room.
- Move to the pre-stage area.
- All competitors must be able to fit their belongings into a gallon-size ziplock bag. Your competitor AET will need to be with this bag. No other bags will be permitted in the pattern.
- Walk to the stage entrance area, and wait to be admitted.
- Walk backstage quietly.
- Quartets will have a table backstage to leave their bags.
- You will be directed to stage center, where you will go through the curtains to perform.
- Have fun performing!
- Exit stage LEFT, and retrieve your bags from the backstage area.
- Head to the webcast area through the marked curtain.
- Be a great audience for the rest of contest!
Chorus Pattern:
- The Chorus Pattern will start on the 2nd floor of the Northern Kentucky Convention Center outside the designated warm-up room
- There are no buses available, so please make your own plans to get to the designated warm-up room area.
- If you are staying at the Marriott, you can use the walkway located on the 2nd (L) floor.
- If you are staying at the Embassy, you will need to walk outside, so please plan accordingly for weather and timing.
- There are no buses available, so please make your own plans to get to the designated warm-up room area.
- Choruses move through the pattern in the following manner:
- Warm-up Room:
- Each chorus will have 10 minutes in the warm-up room.
- The chorus will move to the pre-stage area using the stairs, escalators, or small elevator as needed. Please reserve the elevator for only those people who need assistance.
- Individual chorus members must be able to fit their belongings into a gallon-size ziplock bag. Your competitor AET will need to be with this bag.
- Choruses will need to use wagon(s)/bag(s) to carry individual member bags through the pattern. NO WAGONS/BAGS ARE PROVIDED BY THE REGION. There will be a designated spot backstage for the wagon(s)/bag(s) to be parked during the performance. The person(s) responsible for the wagon(s)/bag(s) will need to retrieve them after the performance and take them to the chorus meeting place to return individual bags.
- Walk to the stage entrance area, and wait to be admitted.
- Enter stage right quietly.
- Have fun performing!
- Exit stage left and go out toward lobby area.
- Meet the designated person(s) with the wagon(s)/bag(s) at the chorus exit.
- Director and President/Team Coordinator will meet with the escort to go to the Webcast area.
- Be a great audience member for the rest of contest!
- Warm-up Room:
General Info:
- There will be a light curtain for the competitions.
- Stage monitors will be used during the quartet competition to help quartet members hear each other better.
- There will be NO monitors for the chorus competition.
- There will be eleven sets of six-foot risers with back rails, and the middle section will be inverted. This will be the only riser configuration for all chorus competitors.
- Please feel free to wear comfortable walking shoes in the pattern; there is time to change your shoes in the pre-stage area.
- Individual competitors must be able to fit their belongings into a gallon-size ziplock bag. Your competitor AET will need to be with this bag.
- Please be sure to label your bag of belongings with your name and your quartet/chorus name. If your AET is clearly visible, then this is sufficient.
- Competitors must have their AET with them to enter the competition hall.

Please notify Donna Ebelhar, Regional Competition Coordinator, at [email protected] if you have any competitor who is not able to walk through the pattern, and/or needs to use an elevator for moving from the 2nd to the 1st floor in the pattern.
